best car interior accessories

Modern cars with whitewalls tires have become very popular since the 1950s. Early models featured raised white walls that yielded a stripe of white when scuffed by curbs. This single-colored design, which remains desirable even today, became the benchmark for traditional Hot Rods, Lowiders, and Resto-California cars. These cars helped to spur the market revival of these tires.

Diamond Back Classics

Modern tire manufacturers are known for creating tires that fit classic cars, hot rods, vintage cars and other unusual vehicles. Diamond Back Tires is one of the most prominent whitewall tire producers. Their tires are designed to fit classic and hot rodding cars. The company has existed for over 30 year. Although these tires might seem questionable, they can be fitted to both modern-day and classic cars.

Diamond Line

Modern cars may have whitewall tires that you are unsure how to clean. Unfortunately, whitewall tires are very difficult to clean. Whitewall tires can be affected by chemicals found in black rubber. The same applies to stacking two tires, one with black sidewalls against the other. This stain can be removed with no cleaning agent. For whitewall removal, you might need to contact a professional auto body shop.

Blue Line

It is difficult to create a modern car using blue line whitewall tires. Only a few large tire manufacturers are interested. Working with these tires requires special attention due to their higher visual defects. Vogue Tyre, which developed the whitewall tire, describes the entire process from storage through stacking and handling. Mounting a modern automobile with blue line whitewall tire is very similar to mounting a traditional passenger car tire.

Cadillac

While not as common today, wide whitewall tires on certain makes and models are an indicator of quality. Cadillacs' first use of wide whitewall tires was in the early 1960s. These cars were typically decorated with whitewall tires one-inch wide and had double or three stripes. The only major luxury car manufacturer offers wide whitewall tires on some models. How To

How to become an Automotive Technician

An automotive technician is responsible for vehicle maintenance and repair. He/she works at car dealerships, auto shops, garages, service centers, etc. He/she assists customers in fixing their cars, trucks or motorcycles. An automotive technician must be capable of diagnosing problems and making repairs safely, accurately and efficiently.

If you want to be an automotive technician, you need an associate degree from vocational school. After completing this program, he/she must pass the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification exam. ASE stands for American Society of Mechanical Engineers. The ASE certification test consists of two sections. The first section tests the ability to use mechanical knowledge. The second section tests the ability to apply practical skills. You will need to attend an authorized testing site in order to pass the test. These locations can be found online, or by contacting your local car dealer.

After passing the test, a candidate must pass an examination in order to be licensed as an automotive technician. This process varies depending on where the applicant lives. Some states require applicants to take a training course while others allow them the freedom to study on their own. Some states permit technicians to work immediately after they are granted their license. Others require them to wait at least six consecutive months before they can be licensed.

An applicant should apply to a local auto shop in order to start their career as an automotive technician. Most new employees work as apprentices after they have been hired. Apprenticeship programs usually last three years. This is when a student can learn how to do basic repairs such as changing oil, adjusting brakes and replacing tires. Some students are taught how to repair engines and replace transmission fluids. Schools offer classes during business hours. However, some schools offer evening classes if needed.

Once a student finishes his/her apprenticeship, it is possible to become a Journeyman. Journeymen spend typically four to five years learning to install major systems such as transmissions and differentials, steering gear, suspensions and drive shafts. They are also taught how to troubleshoot electrical components and remanufacture engines. Many employers prefer to hire Journeymen because they understand the job well.

Candidates who pass the required exams are eligible for a license. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics in 2010, nearly 1.7 Million automotive mechanic jobs were available. This number is expected to increase by 18% between 2009 and 2020. A candidate who plans to open a shop should expect to spend many thousands of dollars on equipment and supplies.

The salary for an automotive technician depends on several factors, including the type of employer, location, education level, and experience. On average, a jobless person could expect to earn $20,000 annually. An individual with a high school diploma can earn about $21,000 per annum. A bachelor's degree is equivalent to approximately $24,000 annually. A technician with a bachelor's degree earned approximately $27,000 annually. A master's degree earns around $32,000 per a year. Salary increases are common so professionals who make less than $30,000 a year could realistically expect to earn $40,000 over the next few years.
